Automatic Leak Testing in Mass Production (Excerpt)
Increasing automation and humanization of the workplace, coupled with improvements in quality, are requirements that must also be met to an ever-greater extent in quality assurance.
While workpiece dimensions in machining operations on lathes, drilling machines, and transfer machines are monitored fully automatically and tools are adjusted accordingly, methods are still frequently used in the leak testing of mass-produced components and assemblies that fall far short of meeting the aforementioned requirements.
