Pressure Calibration – Accredited Pressure Calibration
Calibrating Pressure Using Air
Important: Pressure calibration at HeMaTech is performed exclusively using air as the medium. Calibrations using liquids or other gaseous media are not included in this service.
Depending on your requirements, we perform the calibration as either a DAkkS calibration or a factory calibration. This provides you with traceable documentation of the measured values for your test equipment monitoring and quality assurance.

What is checked during a print calibration?
Calibration may be relevant, for example, for measuring instruments used in industrial testing, manufacturing, or quality assurance processes. The type of instrument alone is not the decisive factor here. The measurement range, technical design, and calibration requirements must also be compatible with the calibration service offered.
Have the pressure calibrated by an accredited laboratory
For the measurement parameter of pressure, HeMaTech offers accredited calibration using air as the medium.
A DAkkS calibration is particularly appropriate when an accredited calibration is required for test equipment monitoring or due to customer-specific or quality-related requirements.
Note: We will check your measuring equipment’s technical specifications to determine whether it can be calibrated within our accredited scope.
Which devices can be calibrated for air pressure?
Depending on the measurement range and technical specifications, this may include:
Not sure if your device is suitable? Send us the manufacturer, model, and measurement range. We’ll check whether we can perform the desired pressure calibration.
How to Have Your Pressure Gauge Calibrated
This makes it possible to determine, even before the calibration is performed, whether the measuring equipment is compatible with the calibration laboratory’s scope of services.
Recalibration of Pressure Gauges
Ein pauschales Intervall ist jedoch nicht für jedes Messmittel und jeden Prozess gleichermaßen geeignet.
Bei der Festlegung eines Kalibrierintervalls sollten unter anderem berücksichtigt werden:
Regular recalibration also makes it possible to detect and document changes in measurement performance over time.
What kind of pressure calibration do I need?
HeMaTech therefore distinguishes between DAkkS calibration and factory calibration.
| DAkkS Calibration | Factory Calibration |
|---|---|
| Accredited Calibration | Non-accredited calibration |
| As part of accreditation under DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 | For operational and internal requirements |
| Documented Measurement Uncertainty | Documented measurement results |
| DAkkS Calibration Certificate | Factory Calibration Certificate |
| For the relevant requirements for accredited calibration | For test equipment maintenance when accredited calibration is not required |
Not sure which calibration certificate you need? Contact us. Together, we’ll clarify your requirements before calibration.
Calibration Certificate
During a DAkkS calibration, the measured values and the associated measurement uncertainty, among other things, are documented.
In the case of a factory calibration, the results are documented accordingly in a factory calibration certificate.
This allows the calibration results to be used within the company’s test equipment monitoring program and existing quality processes.

Pressure Calibration for Industrial Testing Technology
Pressure, for example, is a key measurement parameter in pneumatic leak tests. When testing with air, a defined pressure level is set for the respective test process.
It is therefore important to take the measurement technology used into account as part of test equipment monitoring.
In addition to individual pressure sensors and pressure gauges, the question of how pressure measurement technology within an existing test device is monitored and calibrated may also be relevant.
For specific test systems, we therefore first examine the respective technical design and the required scope of calibration.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pressure Calibration
What medium does HeMaTech use for calibration?
The pressure calibration is performed exclusively with air. Pressure calibrations using liquids or other gaseous media are not included in this service.
What does "calibrate pressure" mean?
During calibration, the measured value of a pressure measuring instrument is compared to a reference value under defined conditions. The values obtained and any deviations are documented.
Can HeMaTech perform DAkkS calibration on pressure measurements?
Yes. HeMaTech operates a DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory for pressure and flow. For pressure, the service offered here refers to calibration using air.
Which pressure gauges can be calibrated?
Relevant measuring equipment includes, among other things, pressure sensors and pressure gauges, as well as pressure measurement technology used in industrial test equipment and test systems. Whether a specific device can be calibrated depends on its technical specifications and the required scope of calibration.
What is the difference between DAkkS calibration and factory calibration?
DAkkS calibration is performed as an accredited calibration under the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. Factory calibration is not accredited and can be used, for example, to meet internal requirements for test equipment control.
How often does a pressure gauge need to be calibrated?
The appropriate calibration interval depends on the measuring equipment, its intended use, and the relevant quality requirements. Therefore, the interval should be determined based on the specific application and the monitoring of the test equipment.
Will I receive a calibration certificate after the pressure calibration?
Yes. The results are documented in a DAkkS calibration certificate or a factory calibration certificate, depending on the selected calibration type.
What factors are important when planning automated test procedures?
Key factors include component geometry, test methods, test pressure, permissible leak rate, measurement range, cycle time, quantity, variety of variants, workpiece handling, and the existing production environment.
