The LA-FI quick-connect adapter provides a reliable and quick seal in holes, on uneven or rough surfaces, and on components
with internal threads. Equipped with elastomer seals, it is ideal for sealing out-of-round and rough surfaces
and for compensating for large tolerances on the test specimen. Thanks to its pneumatic actuation, the adapter is particularly well-suited for
the automation of testing processes.
The seal relies on the frictional force between the gasket and the surface of the test specimen, ensuring that the contact surface does not come into contact with water or other lubricating substances.
The connector does not exert any axial or lateral forces on the test specimen.
Special versions, such as twin adapters for closely spaced sealed connections, are available upon request. Shaft extensions for LAFI connections are also available.
Deployment
Quick-connect adapters for pressure and vacuum testing of straight pipes (outer diameter) or pipes with crimped ends, flared ends, flanges, or hose fittings.

The LA-FI quick-connect adapter can also be customized for specific applications and customers. The following illustrations show a few examples:

Quick-connect adapter with shaft extension for hard-to-reach sealing points
Secure the quick-connect fitting with a mounting bracket.
Insert the LA-FI quick-connect adapter into the test specimen (or slide the test specimen over the quick-connect adapter) and connect the quick-connect adapter to the control air supply.
Supply test air.
Always relieve the test pressure before disconnecting the connection;
Remove the quick-connect fitting after the control pressure has been relieved.
