FAQ on test systems, leak testing, and test automation
What testing methods do you integrate into your test systems?
Our test automation can combine various testing methods. These include leak testing, differential pressure testing, flow testing, vision inspection, functional testing, dimensional checks, or electrical testing processes. The selection depends on the workpiece, leak rate, cycle time, and production environment.
Do you develop custom test systems or standard solutions?
We develop custom test systems for specific manufacturing processes. Each system is tailored to the workpiece, testing method, and production environment. This enables the implementation of complex testing processes or specialized requirements within series production.
Can test systems be integrated into existing production lines?
Yes. Many of our projects involve expanding existing manufacturing facilities. We integrate test automation—including workpiece handling, data acquisition, robotics, and PLC control—directly into existing production processes.
What are the advantages of automated leak testing?
Automated leak testing ensures reproducible test results while maintaining stable cycle times. Additionally, it allows test processes to be documented, scrap rates reduced, and manual testing routines automated.
Do you also develop robot cells for testing processes?
Yes. We develop robot cells for automatic loading and unloading, workpiece positioning, sorting, and linked testing processes. The robotics are adapted to the workpiece, production environment, and cycle time.
Can multiple testing methods be combined within a single system?
Yes. Many test systems combine different testing methods within an automated process. For example, leak testing, vision inspection, and functional testing can be implemented within a single unified test automation setup.
What is the workflow for a test automation project?
A project begins with the technical analysis of the testing requirements. This is followed by concept development, mechanical design, control engineering, assembly, and commissioning of the test system. Prior to delivery, a preliminary acceptance test including test process validation is performed.
Do you provide support after the test system has been commissioned?
Yes. Following commissioning, we continue to support our customers with technical assistance, system adjustments, upgrades, and maintenance services for existing test systems and test automation.
