FAQ on Automation Technology
Which industries do you serve in the field of custom machine building?
We develop custom machinery and automation solutions for a wide range of industrial sectors. These include, among others, the automotive industry, commercial vehicle technology, mechanical engineering, medical technology, packaging technology, and various areas of industrial automation. Many of our projects are designed for custom manufacturing processes with specific technical requirements.
Do you develop only custom-built machines?
No. In addition to complete custom-built machines, we also develop individual automation components such as inspection stations, assembly stations, feeding systems, robotic cells, and labeling units. We also frequently integrate new processes into existing production lines.
Can existing facilities be expanded or modernized?
Yes. In addition to new installations, we also handle retrofits, expansions, and upgrades of existing machinery and automation solutions. We analyze existing processes and integrate new functions into the existing system as cost-effectively as possible.
What testing methods do you integrate into your test systems?
Our testing systems can combine different testing methods. These include, for example, leak testing, differential pressure testing, flow testing, functional testing, camera inspection, and dimensional inspections. The choice of testing method depends on the workpiece, cycle time, and testing requirements.
What does a typical project in custom machine building look like?
A project typically begins with a technical review and analysis of the project requirements. This is followed by concept development, design, control systems, installation, and commissioning. A preliminary acceptance inspection of the system is conducted prior to delivery. Afterward, upon request, we handle installation, support, and future expansions.
Do you also develop robotic cells for automated production processes?
Yes. We develop custom robotic cells for assembly, inspection, handling, and feeding processes. The robotics are tailored to the workpiece, cycle time, and production environment, and can be configured either as a standalone cell or as part of a linked production line.
What are the benefits of a customized automation solution?
Custom automation technology allows for adaptation to specific manufacturing processes and production conditions. This makes it possible to reduce manual steps, stabilize process flows, and automate recurring tasks in a reproducible manner. Standard solutions often reach their limits, particularly when dealing with complex workpieces or special inspection requirements.
Do you also provide support after the system is commissioned?
Yes. After commissioning, we continue to support our customers with technical support, service, modifications, upgrades, and spare parts. Many systems are further developed or adapted to new production requirements over the years.
